Transfer gossip: Norwich reportedly keen to buy Bamford

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Norwich want to buy Patrick Bamford from Chelsea, the Daily Mirror reports.

Swansea are also said to be interested in the 22-year-old forward, who recently returned from an unsuccessful loan spell at Crystal Palace.

The Mirror say he would consider another loan move but Norwich apparently want to sign him on a permanent basis.

There has been much speculation about Bamford’s future

Meanwhile, a number of newspapers, including the Mirror, claim Chelsea are battling with Liverpool for the signing of Shakhtar Donetsk forward Alex Teixeira.

The Daily Mail say Manchester United believe they have lost out to Chelsea over Ajax youngster Juan Familia Castillo but believe they will beat the Blues to the signing of Feyenoord’s Tahith Chong.

Chelsea are reported to have pursued Chong, 16, but he is said to favour a move to Old Trafford.

On the other hand, midfielder Castillo – also 16 – is reportedly set to join Chelsea despite being courted by United.

The Mail also say Alexandre Pato’s expected arrival at Chelsea could mean Loic Remy is on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

Spartak Moscow are reportedly interested in the French striker, who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent months.

Remy has struggled to establish himself in Chelsea’s first team

The Guardian, however, say Chelsea remain reluctant to let Remy leave, but that Radamel Falcao’s loan from Monaco could be cut short.

The Daily Express say Chelsea are planning to sell Pedro at the end of the season. The Spaniard has been linked with a return to Barcelona.

And The Times reports that Chelsea will miss out on several million pounds if Romelu Lukaku leaves Everton, because they did not include a sell-on clause in the deal when he moved to Goodison Park in 2014.

The Belgian striker has been linked with a big-money transfer to Manchester United.
