Transfer gossip: Speculation continues over Solanke’s future

Speculation continues over the future of Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke.

The Sun reported on Friday that the 19-year-old forward, whose contract expires in the summer, is set to join Liverpool.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte subsequently confirmed that Solanke, who has also been linked with Arsenal, has indicated that he intends to leave Stamford Bridge.

There has been speculation over Solanke’s future for some time

And the Daily Mail say Everton, Sunderland and Newcastle are likely to be interested in Solanke – but only if he is willing to lower his wage demands.

The Mail reckon those three clubs could offer him £35,000. It is claimed that Solanke has been demanding £50,000 a week.

The Mail also speculate that Manchester City could be interested in signing him as he would count as a homegrown player.
