Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is ready to snub interest from Chelsea and Manchester United in favour of a move to Paris St-Germain, the Daily Mirror say.
It comes after Bakayoko suggested that he would welcome move to PSG, having almost joined them as a schoolboy.
The 22-year-old, apparently rated at £22m, was touted as a possible replacement for Oscar at Chelsea following the Brazilian’s big-money move to China.
United have subsequently been linked with him too, with reports claiming both clubs are battling to sign him.
The suggestion he will snub both is based on French media quoting him as saying: “The opportunity to sign for the PSG youth academy presented itself. But my dad and my brother chose Rennes, the best youth academy at the time.
“Not going to PSG hurt me, I even had tears in my eyes.
“So if the opportunity presents itself, I will not refuse a move to PSG. But I am only 22, and I feel very good at Monaco.”
