Transfer gossip: More speculation over Courtois
Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea.
The Telegraph believe Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris is on a shortlist of goalkeepers Real Madrid will make approaches for this summer and that the Spanish club feel he might be easier to land than Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois.
Lloris recently committed his future to Spurs by extending his contract at White Hart Lane to 2022.
The Telegraph nevertheless suggest that the Frenchman will be targeted by Real if Chelsea convince Courtois to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea again linked with Sandro
Antonio Conte’s presence at Juventus’ game with Inter on Sunday has led one Italian newspaper to revive a rumour linking Chelsea with Brazilian full-back Alex Sandro.
After the Chelsea boss was spotted in the stands, Tuttosport claimed he was there to monitor Juve’s Sandro.
The 26-year-old, a Brazilian international, only joined Juventus from Porto in 2015 on a five-year deal.
Leverkusen star also linked
A number of newspapers have picked up on quotes running in Turkey that suggest Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu wants to join Chelsea.
He is reported to have told Turkish newspaper Fanatik: “God willing, I will be a Chelsea player next season. There are also a number of other clubs interested in signing me.”
According to the Daily Mail, the Blues have sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old Turkey international, who is currently serving a four-month suspension for breaching a contract with Trabzonspor.
