Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is considering signing defender Martin Caceres, according to reports in Italy.
Calciomercato claim the Blues could offer a contract to the 29-year-old Uruguay international, who played under Conte at Juventus and has also had a spell at Barcelona.
Caceres can join a club outside of the transfer window as he is a free agent, having left Juve after the end of last season.
Italian media reports have also suggested that Inter Milan, AC Milan, Roma and Napoli have all shown an interest in him.
Conte was keen to sign at least one defender ahead of last week’s transfer deadline and Chelsea eventually signed Marcos Alonso and brought David Luiz back to Stamford Bridge.
