Transfer gossip: Agent claims Conte wanted Biabiany

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reportedly made a personal phone call late in the January transfer window in an attempt to persuade Inter Milan winger Jonathan Biabiany to move to Stamford Bridge.

Italian football rumours website Calcio Mercato quotes the Frenchman’s agent Davide Bega as saying: “Conte wanted him and personally talked to Jonathan to persuade him to move to Chelsea.

“Chelsea’s offer, however, was late. They called us on Sunday night and the transfer window was closing two days later. There was no time to finalize a deal.”

Bega added Biabiany “likes” West Ham, but did not expand further on any interest.

Chelsea and City on ‘red alert’ over Bonucci

Manchester City will join Chelsea in targeting Leonardo Bonucci, according to The Sun.

The defender has been previously linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, and was left out of Juventus’ Champions League game with Porto, as punishment for a row with boss Massimiliano Allegri.

Now The Sun claims both City and the Blues have been put on “red alert” by this falling out.

Hazard and Fabregas speculation

Real Madrid continue to be linked with Eden Hazard.

The Daily Express pick up on more reports that the La Liga club are planning to make a move for him in the summer.

The story is based on Spanish outlet Diario Gol claiming that Real are holding talks about a bid for the Blues star.

Real president Florentino Perez is working hard behind the scenes in an effort to strike a deal, it is claimed.

The Daily Star meanwhile have picked up on yet more reports in Italy suggesting that AC Milan are planning a move for Cesc Fabregas.
