Transfer gossip: Chelsea watched Bologna duo, Mail say

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…

Chelsea continue to be linked with Bologna midfielders Amadou Diawara and Godfred Donsah.

The Daily Mail say the Blues and Arsenal checked on the pair when Ghana Under-20 international Donsah, 19, and the Guinea-born Diawara, also 19, featured against Inter Milan on Saturday.

A scout from both London clubs watched the game, while Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City also had representatives there.

It is standard practice for leading European clubs to have scouts at matches across the continent.

Meanwhile, Borussia Mönchengladbach remain keen to sign Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen on a permanent deal, the Daily Mirror reports.

Christensen is highly thought of at Chelsea

Christensen, 19, has impressed for the German club, who made it clear couple of months ago that they would like to buy him.

There has since been much speculation about his future, with a number of English clubs linked with the Dane.

The Mirror now say Gladbach will offer £4m for Christensen in an attempt to agree a deal.

The Mirror also say John Terry will be offered the chance to take over as manager of Danish club Brondby.

Terry has been linked with clubs around the world

Terry, who has said he will be leaving Chelsea when his current contract expires at the end of the season, has apparently been sounded out by Brondby owner Jan Bech Andersen.

And, based on a transfer-gossip website’s claim that Barcelona are interested in Alexandre Pato, the Daily Express suggest Chelsea could make a profit by signing the on-loan forward from Corinthians for an agreed £9.2m and then selling him for more.
