Transfer gossip: Chelsea tipped to move for Toljan
Some of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea.
Chelsea are set to make a move for Hoffenheim wing-back Jeremy Toljan, The Sun claim.
The Germany Under-21 international’s contract is due to expire in 2018 and a number of European clubs have been linked with him.
The Sun reckon Toljan, 22, first came to Antonio Conte’s attention when the Chelsea boss was in charge at Juventus.
Juve, Napoli and Bayern Munich are also said to be currently showing an interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speculation over Hazard continues
Chelsea will open contract talks with Eden Hazard next month, The Sun say.
It is claimed that Chelsea planned to discuss a new deal with Hazard at the end of the season but have brought discussions forward because of speculation linking the Belgian with a move to Real Madrid.
It is also claimed that Chelsea will offer him £300,000 a week and that negotiations have been delayed because Hazard is in the process of appointing a new agent.
Costa linked with PSG
The Daily Express have picked up on reports in Italy that Chelsea will offer Diego Costa to Paris St-Germain as part of a swap deal involving Javier Pastore.
It follows recent speculation that Costa could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Midfielder Pastore has been touted for a move to the Premier League during successive transfer windows.
Sanchez is top target – Guardian
Chelsea have made Arsenal’s Alexis Sánchez their main summer transfer target, according to The Guardian.
It comes amid continued speculation over the Chilean’s future, with his contract due to expire next year.
The Guardian say Conte has discussed transfer targets with the club’s hierarchy and is keen to take Sanchez to Stamford Bridge.
His other targets are said to include David Alaba of Bayern Munich or Juventus’s Alex Sandro and Monaco midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko.
Blues continue to be linked with Van Dijk
The Telegraph claim Southampton are considering Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho as a replacement for the “Chelsea-bound” Virgil van Dijk.
A number of clubs have been linked with Dutch centre-back Van Dijk, but the Telegraph suggest Chelsea is his likely destination.
The newspaper also believes Southampton are expecting bids of more than £50m and that Chelsea’s Nathan Ake, who is apparently rated at £15m, could move to St Mary’s as part of an exchange deal.
Gilmour deal agreed, Goal.com claim
Chelsea have agreed a deal with Glasgow Rangers over the signing of teenage midfielder Billy Gilmour, according to Goal.com.
It is claimed that Chelsea will pay around £500,000 for the 15-year-old, who has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs.
Arsenal were said to be keen to sign Gilmour, while Manchester City, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also been linked with him.
Gibson still being linked
Chelsea continue to be linked with Middlesbrough centre-back Ben Gibson.
The Daily Mirror say Gibson will be a target for all of the Premier League’s top six this summer.
The Mirror claim Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have sent scouts to watch him on a regular basis and declare that Gibson’s England call-up “will only heighten interest in the classy centre half.”

Why is Conte trying to use Hazard as part of exchange for James Rodriguez or Morata ? Hazard is better than James and Diego Costa is better than Morata. So Hazard should stay and if Conte is searching for a number nine, let him buy Lukaku for us. If he fail to do so, he will be fired.
