Swansea will be no pushovers but Chelsea are just too good

Chelsea are out to 11/4 at BetVictor to regain the Premier League title after their controversial defeat by Manchester United at the weekend and it is United who are the new favourites at 13/8, with holders City 7/4 ahead of this weekend’s fixtures.

Incidentally, the Blues are 11/8 to win the Capital One Cup after their dramatic extra-time win against United.

Back to the league and there is every chance that Chelsea will no longer be top of the table when they take to the pitch at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday given that United meet Arsenal at Old Trafford in the early kick-off.

Chelsea are 8/11 at BetVictor to take all three points with the Swans 4s and the draw at 5/2.

Swansea showed their class when they were much too good for Liverpool at Anfield in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday and it took a fortunate own goal to give 10-man Chelsea a point in the corresponding fixture last season.

With a vital game against Shakhtar in the Champions League next week, the Blues cannot afford to take their eye off the ball in South Wales, but there is so much class in this Chelsea side I take them to return to the top of the table on Saturday evening.

Fulham (7/4) entertain Everton (13/8) in another mouth-watering clash.

Everton have drawn their last three league fixtures and Fulham would leapfrog them with a win.

It looks sure to be tight and the draw at 12/5 with BetVictor does look overpriced with 1-1 at 6/1 the recommendation.

Dimitar Berbatov is 6/1 favourite to score the opening goal and the 11/1 for Maraoune Fellaini looks too big given the Belgian is currently playing more as a second striker with Nikica Jelavic than in midfield.

Everton, like Fulham, like to get the ball down and play and it should be a terrific game.

Fulham are currently 5/6 to finish in the top 10 and the same price to finish in the bottom half. A win against the Toffees and that price for the top 10 will look very big.

QPR must do without Stephane Mbia against Reading after his stupid red card against Arsenal.

Without that petulant kick at Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen we would probably be looking back at a terrific point for Rangers at the Emirates.

As it is, a poor refereeing decision means they badly need three points against a Reading side who shipped seven midweek.

The R’s are 5/6 at BetVictor to get that elusive first league win of the season with the Royals 18/5 and the draw at 11/4.

There are likely to be goals in this game and both teams to score is priced at 7/10.

Confidence is unlikely to be high in the Reading side, having lost a 4-0 lead against Arsenal, and I think Rangers can win 3-1, which is a 12/1 shot.

QPR are currently 5/2 to be relegated but another loss on Sunday and those odds will tumble dramatically – and may lead to a change in management at Loftus Road.
