QPR striker Loic Remy wants to join Arsenal, according to the Sunday Mirror.
It is claimed Tottenham, Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle are also interested in the France international, but that he has told friends he is keen to sign for the Gunners.
And Swansea are close to agreeing deal to sign Junior Hoillett from the R’s, according to The Sun on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Paul Merson believes manager Harry Redknapp can take relegated Rangers straight back to the Premier League, the Daily Star Sunday report.
Merson, who won promotion under Redknapp at Portsmouth, said: “If Harry gets it right, they are certs to go up next season.
“He’s done it before at Portsmouth. The year before we went up they had spent a load of money on players and he came in and got rid of all of them. He just started again.
“That’s when he rang me up. I was at Villa but I wasn’t really playing and I took a big pay cut to drop a division and play for Portsmouth.
“There will be other players they can sign next season who will want to do exactly the same.”
