Spurs v QPR player ratings
QPR were brilliant in the first half at White Hart Lane and can consider themselves unlucky to have lost. Here’s how we rated Mark Hughes’ men in their 2-1 defeat against Tottenham.
Julio Cesar: 6
Did well and made some good saves after not training all week because of muscle spasms.
Kieron Dyer: 7
Came on as an early substitute for the injured Jose Bosingwa and looked fitter than he has for more than four years.
Clint Hill: 7
Had an excellent first half like the rest of his team and will be delighted to have got some playing time.
Ryan Nelsen: 8
Astonishing performance from the veteran considering he had been suffering with an ear infection and vertigo before the game.
Nedum Onuoha: 6
Also looked competent in a strong first half from the R’s but Aaron Lennon got the better of him in the second half.
Shaun Wright-Phillips: 6
Caused problems for Gareth Bale in the first half but was no match for Jan Vertonghen in the second and was sacrificed as Hughes looked to get back on level terms.
Alejandro Faurlin: 8
Ran the show in midfield for the majority of the game and set up Bobby Zamora’s opener. His passing was superb.
Esteban Granero: 7
Formed a superb deep-lying partnership with Faurlin and helped pull the strings in midfield before Spurs tightened things up.
Ji-sung Park: 6
The captain had an adequate first half but was not involved perhaps as much as he should have been.
Junior Hoilett: 7
A real danger and forced the save of the match from Brad Friedel in the first half with a classy volley towards top corner. Missed a good chance later on though.
Bobby Zamora: 7
Produced another good performance and took his goal well.

Funny how few times the media goes on about how ‘unlucky’ Spurs have been with many of the games this season? Narrow misses, howling mistakes from referees and a media that somehow has a grudge against both the team and manager. well guess what, we won, and given the improvement we have been showing we could win many more and do better than most thought.
