Whoa, hold on a minute, can somebody from admin check how many times Mr M. Hughes and Mr. K. Joorabchian have voted in this poll please. What QPR needs is stability and consistency neither of which has been provided by Mark Hughes and his (expensive) back room team in their 10 months of leadership. They have managed to drain the skill and confidence out of an apparently talented bunch of new signings to the point that they would be comparatively worthless in the transfer market which, with their costly wage bill, would be crippling for us if we get relegated and would make us a realistic prospect of becoming the next Portsmouth. By his own admission relegation is a reality which surely means he has failed following his lofty ambitions for the club and his fateful statement of not being in the same position again as the end of last season on his watch. Being a Rangers fan for 30 years and seeing many highs and lows I have to admit this is probably the lowest I’ve felt.

fernandez is not backing hughes out of loyalty, its because his ego refuses to make him believe he has made a huge mistake allowing him to waste £25m on overrated players the wrong side of 30. clearly today the players just did not perform for such a crucial game, and he now appears to be unable to either motivate or organise them into a functioning team. it was an absolute disgrace and paying to watch qpr is the worst value decision anyone can make, it is just clear torture. some of the players just do not care and only a change of manager will give the club any chance of avoiding certain relegation. there seems to be a thin line between loyalty and insanity!!

Hughes has to go. The cost or relegation will be far higher than any pay-off to this managerial has-been.

This poll is worthless, you have one question in the title and the opposite question in the article.
People who vote after just seeing the headline are going to vote for the wrong choice.
Hughes out! The worst manager ever at QPR, he has the highest loss ratio of any manager weve ever had.

Red top journalese afforded to any Manager that is hovering in the drop zone…at anytime of the season…I have seen many Managers come and go over the last 30 years…there have been incumbents who have had a reasonable playing career who have been utterly diabolical for us…Wilkins and Francis to name two…neither Managers of people…there have been others too…however in their day…Mr Venables…and Mr G Francis have been our best I think…both moving on to bigger and better things….the last few years have been turbulent …not knowing from one game to the next who would be picking the team or waving a gun in the boardroom….every Rangers fan in my experience will always give every support to whoever is in the job….Mr Paladinni should be credited with seeing things through to the arrival of Mr Fernandez…a thoroughly decent chap…and by all accounts an excellent businessman who although a WHU fan at heart lived and drank locally in the eighties…I now see my club being transformed…plans to expand….money little object…a clear ‘business’ plan…business is not about knee jerk reaction…it is about working together to create the desired goal…working SMART….
Mr Hughes and his back room team have been given a ‘Carte Blanche’ at QPR to create a long standing legacy…Mr Hughes has connections at the highest level and uses them to good effect….without a total root and branch change of personnel at the beginning of this season it may have been a repeat of last…Championship players performing well…Derry and the like….who incidentally may be the man for the job both as captain and defensive midfielder….
I will support my team and the chosen Manager whatever to outcome…I have felt the pain of relegation and cried the tears of defeat….by QPR are my team and I will never waver…In my opinion….over the last thirty years we have had a few good Managers who have left a legacy….Mr Hughes has my full support and backing….we have a great Chairman who has a passion for every aspect of his business empire…I hope very much that we prosper…move up the table and give good account of ourselves…I always feel an immense sense of pride watching and supporting my team…and will until my last breath…whoever is our Manager…but right now it is Mr Hughes and I believe in him and will support him implicitly …..

How many times have we heard ” our injury problems ” etc etc.
True he has brought together a good squad on paper.
Most managers have a good track record of spending money! look at Dalgleish, spent millions and got nowhere except the ‘Tin Tack’
Having seen the games this season ,we dont look cohesive at all, more like a few individuals that don’t appear to train or play together.
Too many are ball watching and scratching their heads when goals go in.
Taraabt is a talent ,as is Cisse and Zamora. Diakite is quick and can influence the games (If he stays on!). Mbia looked good on his debut but needs to work on his distribution.
Others, look like they are not at match speed.
Player of the year so far has been Clint Hill for me, If only we had four of him then our back line would be solid.
That said, the poll here is academic, our views, important as they are, also academic.
Once the fans start voting with their feet, Tony, Amit and Co will decide.
I personally think that Christmas is too late to wait.

To sack Hughes now would be a panick move to placate those few fans whom want instant glory like Chelski.
What Hughes has managed to achieve off the field – bringing in various staff (Along with Tony Fernandes it should be said) has laid the ground work for the long term. Under Tango, Cash & the 2 Bit Spiv, QPR were systematically dismantled – Mostly by the latter.
I don’t really care even if we got relegated because the ground work for the long term future looks very good. I do hope though we the squad which on paper shows huge potential, starts performing to it and result start to come.

Just to restate the point AB-Ranger made – having title of page as one question, then actual poll question the opposite and a yes / no choice could cause people to mistakenly vote for the opposite of what they intended.
Rangers need to stick with Hughes and give him time. Going back to the trigger happy ways of Briatore will only prevent us from ever making sustained progress. If things are still this bad by Christmas then maybe consider it, but I’m sure we will have picked up by then.

What are the managerial team doing in training? I doubt their tactics, gameplan and selection. Love some of the signings, though.
I would like a new manager, yes.

I second the comment about the poll being dodgy, and I think it’s time for Hughes to get his coat.

It’s not gone well at all, but there have been encouraging signs in each of the last few matches. I agree with the earlier comment that we could easily hit a good run of form from here. Getting a solid defensive line with players who are used to each other is key. Injuries have prevented that so far, so calling for Hughes’ head is unfair and short-termist. He needs to be given more of a chance once we can field a more settled line-up.

Come on lads!!!! Tim has summed the entire situation up, getting rid of Hughes now could be catastrophic!!!! It is very easy to say “sack Hughes”, but what goes with it?? Hughes, Backroom staff, new manager tactics, unrest, players unhappy etc, etc!!! If we were middle now, would you be saying the same things?? I think not!!! We HAVE to stay with Hughes for now, I have voted “YES” Hughes should keep his job!!! Onwards & Upwards U R’ssssssssssssss

Hughes is making a pigs ear of it at the mo but I do like Fernandes giving the manager the full backing.
Hope it comes good, only time will tell….. I voted keep Hughes (for now)

Sacking Hughes may look appealing at this stage but I’m convinced such a move would be rather hasty, despite current performances and points. I’m confident the lads – for they are principally to blame – may be on the brink of an equally promising run when we’re all back together again for the next (very big) game. But hey, my (our) thoughts are pretty immaterial. After all, how many of us saw Warnock’s exit prior to its happening? Fernandes is the fella who has to show more patience, I’m sure it’ll pay off. Hughes, meanwhile, ought take his chairman’s advice and try to keep a more regular back four and perhaps spine to the side. Might also be a useful time to start using Derry and Mackie a touch more, perhaps in place of SWP and AN Other. Another change around now could be disastrous in any case since that would inevitably mean an entire backroom staff exiting in Hughes’ wake, as well as unsettling the Hughes’ signings. It doesn’t bear thinking about really what the knock-on effects and consequences might be. Keep the faith, fellow Rs.

Troublemaking journalism!
Title of page: Should Mark Hughes keep his job.
Question: Should Mark Hughes be sacked?
Definite contradiction between page and question, that causes people to vote based on page heading. You need to align the question with the page.
