Goals from Andre Gray and Nick Proschwitz gave Brentford their second away win of the season. Here’s how we rated the Bees players in their 2-0 triumph at Rotherham.

David Button: 8
Made three excellent saves and commanded his area superbly, playing a crucial role in the Bees’ win.

Alan McCormack: 7
Solid at the back and always looked to get forward when he could.

Harlee Dean: 8
A mistake almost led to a goal but Dean otherwise played extremely well, justifying the decision to stick with him. Has been impressive since coming into the team.

James Tarkowski: 8
Also performed really well at the heart of the Brentford defence. Strong in the air and sensible on the ball.

Jake Bidwell: 8
Another defender who deserves much praise for his display. Won several important challenges.

Jonathan Douglas: 8
Continues to do a fantastic job protecting the back four. Has been outstanding so far this season.

Stuart Dallas: 7
Played well again and got through plenty of defensive work when his team had to absorb some pressure.

Alex Pritchard: 8
At the centre of some of Brentford’s best work. Composed, clever and proving to be a fine signing.

Alan Judge: 8
Created several openings as the Bees’ class in midfield won the day. Always bright and inventive.

Jota: 7
Still finding his feet in English football and faded before going off in the second half, but has obvious quality and potential.

Andre Gray: 8
A fine finish for his goal and again offered pace and power up front. An absolute nuisance to defenders.

Scott Hogan: 6
Showed glimpses of his quality during the short time he was on the pitch. It would be a tragedy for the player and his club if Hogan’s knee injury is as serious as it looked.

Nick Proschwitz: 7
Did well after coming on as a late substitute and deserved his goal for the work-rate he has shown so far this season.

Jon Toral: 7
Like Proschwitz, he was only on the pitch for eight minutes but he made a major contribution, setting the former Hull man up for the second goal.
