QPR are leading Arsenal in a race for Auxerre’s France Under-21 forward Paul Georges-Ntep, the Daily Mail suggest.
French media reported on Tuesday that Rangers were offering the player more money than Rennes, who are looking to sign him.
And it is claimed that Arsenal are interested in Georges-Ntep along with Italian club Roma.
Meanwhile, The Sun say Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is not convinced the player is right for the north London club and that QPR are lining up £5m move.
Rennes, it is claimed, hope he will be sold to Arsenal and then sent back to France to join them on loan.
