Referees ‘threatening to boycott Chelsea matches’ over allegations
Angry referees are threatening to boycott Chelsea matches, The Sun report.
Ex-referee Clive Wilkes told the paper that officials are angered by Chelsea’s accusation that Mark Clattenburg used “inappropriate language” to John Obi Mikel during Sunday’s clash with Manchester United.
Wilkes said: “I keep in touch with a lot of the lads and there is such a strength of feeling about what is happening to Mark.
“I know a few referees who are even talking about boycotting Chelsea games because of all this.”
He added: “There have even been murmurings about strike action but that’s very much the last resort.
“They’d much prefer to get around the table with the FA, PFA, the clubs and players to sort this out as quickly as possible.”
The Daily Express suggest Chelsea will face an FA charge after Clattenburg was confronted by Mikel, Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo and others immediately after the United game.
Meanwhile, The Sun say Fulham are weighing up a £3m bid for Porto centre-back Eliaquim Mangala.
The France Under-21 star has been linked with a number of clubs but Whites boss Martin Jol is apparently in pole position to sign him in January.

Spot on @daddyblue! Absolutely spot on as u’ve spoken my mind exactly! Heck,we can even referee the game without much ado and controversy using video technology, can’t we? Now I wonder what Gary Neville has to say…

Chelsea sh’d stop all the silly complaints & show us what they’ve got. These are the same guys who almost lost to a united reserve team only to be bailled out by 2 penalties from a referee.

Go on I dare them to go on strike or boycott Chelsea…. Good, Chelsea will hold every REF accountable for their actions.. It can’t be all one sided. They are professional? Then like everyone else’s in this world, should be hauled before the courts to answer claims of failing to comply or uphold the laws of the game without showing unfair bias. Anyway…. No refs, no game or will the FA finally wake up and smell the roses and get rid of the bias at the top level and release Mr Gill from the FA board and Refs selection commitee to get the game back on track. Until he is removed the FA will real of BIAS towards Scum U.
