Reading v QPR player ratings

QPR did not go down fighting, with their gutless display in the 0-0 draw at Reading summing up their season. Here’s how we rated Rangers’ players in the stalemate at the Madejski Stadium that confirmed both clubs’ relegation.

Robert Green: 6
Unconvincing in the first half, when his indecisiveness almost resulted in a goal. Produced a couple of decent stops after that though.

Jose Bosingwa: 5
Dosile defensively and offered little in attack before being taken off.

Nedum Onuoha: 7
Played well at centre-back and is a good option for Rangers there.

Clint Hill: 7
Gave it his all as usual and went in for every challenge like his life depended on it.

Armand Traore: 7
Got forward well from left-back and was defensively sound.

Esteban Granero: 6
Did okay. Unlucky not to score with a free-kick that hit the top of the bar and was always willing to show for the ball in midfield.

Stephane Mbia: 5
Has been unconvincing in midfield, let alone the right-of-centre role he was deployed in for this game. Was poor throughout.

Jermaine Jenas: 7
Had quite a good game. Used the ball well and always looked to get into shooting positions.

Adel Taarabt: 5
An off-day for Taarabt, who scuffed two efforts horribly wide before being substituted.

Loic Remy: 6
Had virtually no service but worked hard and created a good chance for Taarabt.

Jay Bothroyd: 6
Caused Reading some problems but missed a great opportunity to score in the first half.

Junior Hoilett: 6
Didn’t affect the game after coming on.
