Reading are making a record £9m move for Brentford striker Scott Hogan, The Sun claim.
There has been much speculation over Hogan’s future, with a number of clubs linked with him ahead of the January transfer window.
The likes of Norwich and Aston Villa have also been linked with the 24-year-old, who has scored 13 goals this season.
The Sun say that as Reading are about to be taken over by a Chinese group and are likely to have money to spend, they will table a huge bid for Hogan.
It is claimed that Norwich might rival Reading’s offer as they are also keen to sign a proven Championship goalscorer.
The Sun say Brentford might still hold out for more money because they rate Hogan so highly and would have to pay his former club Rochdale a slice of any transfer fee.
