QPR have had an offer for Yann M’Vila rejected by Rennes and are expected to increase their bid, the Daily Mirror say.
Rangers are said to have offered £6.5m for the midfielder, who was previously watched by manager Harry Redknapp’s former club Tottenham.
M’Vila has played for France 22 times but is banned from the national team until July 2014 after breaking a curfew to visit a nightclub ahead of an Under-21 European Championship play-off game against Norway.
On Sunday evening, L’Equipe suggested that Marseille striker Loic Remy had snubbed a move to Loftus Road.
Meanwhile, Chelsea have again been linked with Malaga midfielder Isco, this time by the Daily Mail.
The Blues are apparently planning to beat Manchester City, who are also said to be interested, to the playmaker’s signing
Following Sunday newspaper reports that Chelsea had performed a U-turn and were in contract talks with Frank Lampard, a number of papers now say there is no prospect of him being offered a new deal.
But the Daily Express suggest Lampard could yet stay at Stamford Bridge.
A source is quoted as saying: “Talks are ongoing and no decision has been made yet.”
Fulham are favourites to sign Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland, according to the Mail.
It is claimed the Whites lead the race to sign Butland, 19, but are reluctant to pay the asking price, reported to be £6m.
