Rangers ‘facing decision time over Harry Redknapp’

The Daily Star say QPR face decision time over Harry Redknapp amid doubts over Mark Hughes’ position at Loftus Road.

It is suggested that Redknapp – the choice of many fans to replace Hughes as manager – apparently entering talks over the Ukraine job means Rangers will have to act quickly to avoid losing out on the former Tottenham boss.

The Daily Mail say QPR are interested in winger Modou Sougou of Romanian side FC Cluj and Montpellier’s France international defender Mapou Yang-Mwiba.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are one of the clubs monitoring highly-rated Barnsley right-back John Stones, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is claimed Everton are ready to make move for the England Under-19 international, who would not be in Chelsea’s immediate first-team plans were they to sign him.

Inevitably, there is speculation over Roberto Di Matteo’s future as Chelsea manager following the Champions League defeat against Juventus.

A number of papers, including The Guardian, link former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola with the Stamford Bridge hotseat.

The Sun believe Chelsea have already approached ex-Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez and that it is only a question of time before Di Matteo is axed.

And the Daily Telegraph suggest former Chelsea manager Avram Grant could be considered for return to the club.
