QPR v Wigan player ratings
QPR look doomed after a last-gasp goal denied them a win that would have left them with a fighting chance of staying up. Here’s how we rated the Rangers players on a painful day at Loftus Road.
Julio Cesar: 5
Pulled off a good second-half save but generally failed to command his area effectively enough.
Jose Bosingwa: 6
Sloppy at times in the first half. Improved in the second.
Chris Samba: 6
Certainly a much better display than his horror show against Fulham, but still far short of the kind of top quality he was touted as having.
Clint Hill: 7
Fully committed as always. Did little wrong.
Amand Traore: 5
Was poor before being replaced at half-time.
Andros Townsend: 7
Was lively from the opening whistle. Direct and always willing to take players on and shoot.
Jermaine Jenas: 6
Started well but faded as the game wore on.
Stephane Mbia: 7
A mixed performance. Closed down very well at times and did brilliantly to set up Rangers’ goal. But was also guilty of conceding needless fouls – including one which led to the free-kick from which Wigan equalised.
Junior Hoilett: 6
Bright at times in the first half but faded badly before being substituted in the second.
Bobby Zamora: 5
His daft sending-off left Rangers facing a much tougher task.
Loic Remy: 8
Scored a cracking goal, having been unlucky when a first-half effort hit the post and when a header flashed narrowly wide. His movement was excellent. Has done enough to be picked up by another Premier League club in May.
Nedum Onuoha: 7
Did well at right-back after being brought on for the second half.
Adel Taarabt: 5
Struggled after coming on for Hoilett.
