QPR v Liverpool player ratings
QPR ended 2012 in dismal fashion, with Liverpool strolling to an embarrassingly easy victory at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated the players in their 3-0 defeat.
Julio Cesar: 5
Produced a good save in the second half to deny Luis Suarez a hat-trick, but overall was unconvincing – again – and should have done better for the third goal.
Nedum Onouha: 7
Never comfortable at right-back but gave it his all and offered good cover through the middle when possible. Deserves credit for his display.
Ryan Nelsen: 5
Had a tough time against Suarez and co.
Clint Hill: 5
Had an even tougher time, not least when being left for dead for the opening goal.
Armand Traore: 5
Appeared to give up after the third goal.
Shaun Wright-Phillips: 5
Another poor display from one of many daft signings by the club.
Stephane Mbia: 6
Cares, but needs time – which Rangers simply don’t have – to adjust to the Premier League.
Samba Diakite: 5
Out of the his depth against an impressive Liverpool side.
Adel Taarabt: 6
Tried hard but was easily taken care of by Liverpool’s defence.
Jamie Mackie: 6
Worked hard as ever.
Djibril Cisse: 5
Injuries to other strikers mean Cisse and QPR have been stuck with each other in recent months. A parting of the ways in January is best for both parties.
Shaun Derry: 6
Helped to prevent Liverpool adding to their goal tally in the second half.
Esteban Granero: 5
Ineffective after coming on.
