QPR v Hull player ratings

Six matches into Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s reign as manager, QPR are 15th in the Championship and still without a win. Here’s how we rated the players in their 2-1 defeat at home to Hull.

Rob Green: 5
Another very unconvincing display from the goalkeeper, which culminated in him colliding with Grant Hall and handing Hull a winning goal in injury time. He could arguably have kept out the first goal as well.

Nedum Onuoha: 5
A poor performance at right-back, where the Rangers captain has never looked comfortable. He was repeatedly beaten, looked shaky on the ball and did not do enough to stop the late cross which led to Hull’s winner.

Gabriele Angella: 7
Produced one of his best performances for Rangers so far. Decisive in the tackle and sensible on the ball.

Grant Hall: 7
Continues to impress at the back – and surely would have cleared the danger had Green not clattered into him.

Paul Konchesky: 6
A solid, workmanlike display from the veteran left-back, who at 34 is one of the fittest players in the Rangers squad. That tells its own story.

Karl Henry: 6
Remains an unpopular figure among many fans, with some cheering the decision to substitute him in the second half. He worked hard in midfield though – Rangers’ problems were mainly on the flanks – and did a good job for the most part.

Alejandro Faurlin: 6
Caught out off the ball on occasions. But, on the ball, when given time and space, he is always effective and was again neat and tidy. His set-piece delivery is also an asset.

Matt Phillips: 7
Worried Hull at times and served up a fine cross for the QPR equaliser. Still needs to do more though as he is capable of having a much bigger influence on games.

Tjaronn Chery: 6
Excellent at picking up space, but not so good at containing his frustration and remaining switched-on when his team-mates fail to deliver the ball to him. His lack of off-the-ball work remains an issue.

Junior Hoilett: 7
Motivated and in decent form at the moment. Looked dangerous with the ball at his feet.

Sebastian Polter: 6
Lacks quality and struggled for much of the game. But he worked hard up front, performing an important role for the team, and eventually scored with a very good header – his second goal in as many matches.

Leroy Fer: 6
Brought on midway through the second half. Missed a decent chance at the far post before Rangers eventually levelled.
