QPR v Fulham player ratings

Fulham again embarrassed QPR in a one-sided west London derby, beating them 3-1 at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each of the players.

QPR

Alex Smithies: 6
Kept the carnage within respectable bounds with some good saves before and after Fulham’s three goals.

James Perch: 6
Almost got on the scoresheet with a powerful second-half header but did not enjoy life at the other end of the field during a chastening first half.

Nedum Onuoha: 5
Looked flat-footed several times when Fulham’s sharp attacking instincts got them in behind him too easily for comfort. Collected a yellow card on an unhappy afternoon.

Grant Hall: 5
A late booking summed up a frustrating game for both himself and his central defensive partner. Neither he, nor Onuoha, ever looked on top of things.

Paul Konchesky: 6
Did his best to get forward during a late QPR rally but was made to work hard to down his flank by Ryan Fredericks and Fulham’s marauding midfield.

Matt Phillips: 5
Disappointing that he did not build on the confidence of last week’s late winner. Never got in behind the Fulham defence and went off 15 minutes from time.

Massimo Luongo: 5
Often floundering in the wake of Fulham’s dominance in the middle of the park and a promising opening spell flattered to deceive. Became less and less involved.

Daniel Tozser: 5
A nightmare of an afternoon summed up by the moment he shanked a ball into touch under no pressure. Frequently overrun in midfield and struggled throughout.

Junior Hoilett: 6
Early bursts of energy down the left flank ultimately fizzled out and it was no surprise when he departed early in the second half – making way for a more threatening Nasser El Khayati.

Jamie Mackie: 6
His tireless battling qualities grant him immunity from criticism for a shoddy Rangers display but his energy could not spark the home side into life.

Sebastian Polter: 5
Hooked at half-time after a forgettable 45 minutes when he hardly got a kick – or a header.

Conor Washington: 5
Starved of obvious chances and fared little better than Polter in the second half – often isolated and chasing shadows.

Nasser El Khayati: 7
The Dutchman put in a decent cameo as a 53rd-minute substitute, always looking to pose questions by running at defenders. Hurried Andy Lonergan into a good save after fashioning an opening.

Tjaronn Chery: 7
Scored an injury-time consolation after Fernando Amorebieta failed to clear a corner properly. Had forced the set piece with a stinging effort moments earlier which Lonergan did well to keep out.

Fulham

Andy Lonergan: 7
Gathered one soft Luongo header early on, but was mostly a spectator until he made a superb one-handed save to keep out a Perch header and another to deny Chery just before the QPR goal.

Michael Madl: 6
A very comfortable debut for the Austrian on loan from Sturm Graz, who could hardly have expected such an easy ride in a derby baptism.

Dan Burn: 6
Booked in the second half for a foul on Mackie, but was largely untroubled over the 90 minutes and dominant during rare moments of QPR pressure.

Fernando Amorebieta: 6
Almost blotted his copybook with a stray pass back which nearly gifted Mackie a route to goal – Burn took a yellow for the team as a result. But totally subdued Phillips.

Ryan Fredericks: 6
Found plenty of opportunities to bomb forward and trouble Konchesky. The fact he did not need to track back as much as he should speaks volumes of Rangers’ woes.

Jamie O’Hara: 8
Forced Smithies into two first-half saves and was another midfielder who seemed to enjoy the freedom of the park on a torrid afternoon for Rangers. His fine delivery made it easy for Dembele to nod in the second goal.

Tom Cairney: 8
A great afternoon for the midfielder. His superbly weighted pass to Ross McCormack for the first goal opened the floodgates and he was on hand to poach the third just before half-time after Moussa Dembele’s effort had come back off a post.

Scott Parker: 8
Unspectacularly excellent. A vital cog for Fulham with his timely blocks and interceptions and a master of the holding midfielder role. Efficiency personified.

Ross McCormack: 9
A constant thorn in QPR’s side with his astute passing. Scored with a great first-time finish to put the Whites ahead and was involved in the third. Always hungry for the ball and an eye for space.

Moussa Dembele: 7
Nodded in from close range to make it 2-0 and then rolled a shot onto the post that rebounded perfectly for Cairney to make it three. Always a handful.

Luke Garbutt: 6
Needed off the bench early on, following a hamstring injury to Lasse Vigen Christensen, and looked very assured. Helped snuff out Phillips and it was his delicious chip down the line to McCormack which engineered Fulham’s third goal. Missed a second-half sitter though.
