Punters backing Carragher to score against QPR in final match

QPR will see the curtain come down on the career of Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and it is hard to see anything other than a Reds win at Anfield.

Carragher has been backed into 29/10 to score at any time during the 90 minutes as punters obviously believe he will take penalties in his last game in front of the Kop.

Liverpool are 2/9 for all three points with the Hoops 12s and the draw 11/2.

I am sure all at Loftus Road will be looking forward to a break and to return with all guns blazing for an attack on the Championship, for which they remain 9/2 favourites.

There is the possibility that Chelsea and Arsenal will have to play-off for third and fourth place in the Premier League. We’re offering 16/1 that that will happen.

Chelsea are 4/6 to finish their season with a win, with Everton 4s and the draw 31/10.

Fernando Torres is likely to start the game after his excellent goal in Amsterdam on Wednesday night and both he and Rafa Benitez will want to put another one over David Moyes before he goes to Old Trafford.

Torres is 5/1 to score first with Frank Lampard, who grabbed both goals at Goodison in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, at 6/1.

Benitez has been subject to much speculation about his immediate future and has been backed for: Napoli 8/1, Manchester City 12/1, Malaga 40s and even Everton 33s.

If you think he got a mixed reception at the Bridge it would be nothing compared to the reception he would get at Goodison if the impossible happened.

Gus Poyet has been backed into 5/4 to be the next manager of Fulham, irrespective of the timescale, following speculation that Martin Jol’s position was under review after a very poor finish to the season.

Poyet hardly suggested he was at the Amex for the long term after his post-match interview following Brighton’s loss to Crystal Palace on Monday night and it is reported that the Uruguayan has allies on the Whites board.

Fulham are 17/5 to win at Swansea, who are 17/20, with the draw 14/5.
