Palace v Fulham player ratings

Pajtim Kasami’s breathtaking goal was the highlight of a great win for Fulham, who scored four goals away from home in the league for the first time in nine years. Here’s how we rated the players in their victory at Selhurst Park.

Maarten Stekelenburg: 7
Solid on his return to the side following a shoulder injury. Was left woefully exposed for Palace’s goal.

Sascha Riether: 8
Faultless at the back and as ever was more than willing to get forward. Found Kasami for Fulham’s all-important equaliser.

Philippe Senderos: 7
Was decent enough defensively and sealed the victory by netting his side’s fourth goal.

Brede Hangeland
Hangeland has struggled this season.

Brede Hangeland: 5
Was substituted at half-time because of an injury, according to Martin Jol. But the Fulham boss was also unhappy – to put it mildly – with the big defender being beaten in the air for Palace’s goal. Hangeland was sloppy on the ball at times too.

Kieran Richardson: 7
Had a good game at left-back – a position he has really established himself in. Offered an attacking threat too, linking up well with Kasami on the flank.

Bryan Ruiz: 7
A danger from set-pieces, delivering corners for two of the goals. Was effective in his right-sided role and also drifted in to give his team a valuable extra man in the middle.

Scott Parker: 7
Made a welcome return in midfield and played well, breaking up play and helping Fulham get a foothold in the match.

Steve Sidwell: 7
Also had a good game in midfield and despite being somewhat upstaged by Kasami, Sidwell’s cracking volley was a fine goal in its own right.

Patjim Kasami: 9
As well as his goal of the season contender, Kasami underlined why Jol rates him so highly with a superb all-round display. His skill and movement caused Palace all sorts of problems and he was unlucky not to score with a classy late effort with the outside of the boot.

Dimitar Berbatov: 7
Linked play with typical guile and showed the other side of his game by holding off a challenge to head in his first league goal of the season.

Darren Bent: 6
Didn’t have things his own way up front and missed a good chance to score early in the second half. Worked hard off the ball though before being replaced by Damien Duff.

Fernando Amorebieta: 7
Impressive after replacing Hangeland at the break. Strong and composed as Fulham dealt with a brief spell of second-half pressure.
