Odds cut on QPR being relegated as Bees and Fulham prepare for derby
QPR are struggling. In fact they were so poor at Loftus Road in their home defeat by Brentford they are in to 6/1 with BetVictor to be relegated.
I reckon that’s unlikely to happen – unthinkable even – but I do feel they need to get something from Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest to calm any fears of being involved in a battle to avoid the drop.
Forest have lost their last three and have won just one of their last 11 matches, but they are 13/10 favourites to win this weekend, with Rangers 2/1 and the draw at 12/5.
Idrissa Sylla and Sebastian Polter are both priced at 7/1 to open the scoring in this game and I can see goals.
There have been 30 goals scored in Forest’s first seven Championship games this season and the recommendation must be for both sides to find the back of the net, which is 4/6.
Fresh from beating Rangers, Brentford now face another west London derby, against Fulham.
The Bees are 13/10, with Fulham 2/1 and the draw, which I fancy, is 5/2.
There is just one point between the sides in the Championship table and I think that will still be the case come Saturday morning.
Scott Hogan (4/1) and Chris Martin (6/1) are the market leaders to score the first goal at Griffin Park.
But Sone Aloko was brilliant in Fulham’s 5-0 thrashing of Huddersfield last weekend, and at 3/1 to score in the derby he might be the value bet.
