QPR fans on Twitter have given their overwhelming backing of the club’s new crest, which was unveiled on Friday.
The crest, chosen after a poll of Rangers supporters, is of a similar design to the one used between 1982 and 2008, which was replaced under Flavio Briatore’s regime.
Many were happy to see the that one scrapped and hoped a change of crest would usher in a new era at Loftus Road.
Simplistic classy beautiful new crest. Everything the Briatore effort wasn’t #QPRcrest

Some needed a bit more convincing, feeling that there were more pressing issues at the club that needed addressing.
Wow, new #QPRCrest trending. Have to say that despite supporting the club for most of my life I struggle to care about the crest design

It will take a lot more than just a crest for me to say “We’ve got our Rangers back”. Long, long, long way to go but a decent start. #QPR

I never got all the club crest furore. The new crest is as Irrelevant to anything & everything as the old one was #QPR

Others just took a more light-hearted approach to the social-media buzz created around the badge’s launch.
