‘Never got a proper chance’ – fans react to McEachran move
Fans of Chelsea and Brentford have been reacting to Josh McEachran’s move across west London.
The midfielder, who had been on the books at Stamford Bridge since 2000, completed a four-year move to Griffin Park on Friday.
Brentford fans were immediately excited at the prospect of watching McEachran, who at 22 still has his best years ahead of him.

Blues fans reflected on the loss of a player once tipped to be a long-term successor to Frank Lampard in the Chelsea midfield, and had different theories behind his failure to live up to that tag.
Feel a bit sorry for Mceachran. Always looked a good player and would've developed if Ancelotti stayed. Never got a proper chance.

If Josh McEachran can fulfill half of the potential shown as a Chelsea youngster, he can be a top, top player for #brentfordfc

Shame Josh McEachran never became the player he promised to be. Had the makings of a star but something went wrong somewhere – attitude?

Some chelsea fans are just too dull to know the concept of a big club. At a big club like chelseafc u have to make the grade and the british media most times don’t help their players to grow instead they heap unnecessary hyping on the player and this in turn bring pressure on them. English have average players and stupid FA should stop the homegrown system which hasn’t work in their favour.
