Martial Arts fighter Harry Church is preparing for his toughest challenge so far – a clash with Tommy King for the 78kg ISKA British K-1 title next month.
Church, from Hanworth, is currently unbeaten in his K-1 career and his impressive displays in his last two fights have led to him being put forward for a title bid.
The 22-year-old comes from a QPR-supporting family and was introduced to MMA by his younger brother Vinny, who has won a title belt.
The battle with King at the HG Wells Centre in Woking on 14 November promises to be a big occasion for everyone in his camp.
Church’s father Clint said: “The two brothers have inspired each other, trained and dieted together and they even work together as trainee electricians.
“We have built a very impressive gym in our back garden for the boys to hone their skills and Harry can be heard beating a bag at 5.30am before work.
“Having lived with the martial arts scene for a while now, and witnessing the dedication these boys have to the sport, themselves and each other, as parents we can only pump out our chests and feel immense pride at what they have achieved.”
