MK Dons v QPR player ratings

QPR’s slim play-off hopes took another blow as they were beaten at MK Dons. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 2-0 defeat.

Alex Smithies: 7
Solid, reliable and saved a penalty. His good form continues.

Nedum Onuoha: 6
Missed a good chance to score early on and had plenty of problems at the other end, especially in the second half.

Gabriele Angella: 5
Largely untroubled before an all-important spell early in the second half when he was beaten and pulled out of position far too easily as MK Dons suddenly began to have the upper hand.

Grant Hall: 6
Calm and composed before going off injured at half-time. He was missed in the second half.

James Perch: 7
Got forward well from full-back and prevented a Dons goal with a superb last-ditch challenge late in the game.

Karl Henry: 5
Had a decent first half but was overrun in the second as the hosts took control.

Daniel Tozser: 5
Also lost the midfield battle at a crucial stage and was eventually substituted.

Nasser El Khayati: 7
Promising stuff from the January signing. He was lively in the first half. linking up well with Massimo Luongo, and sent a shot narrowly wide.

Massimo Luongo: 7
Also lively in the first half and got into some excellent positions, but his influence waned as the game went on.

Tjaronn Chery: 6
Always looked to make things happen but endured a frustrating afternoon and isn’t the best when it comes to providing defensive cover.

Conor Washington: 6
Looked a threat in the opening stages when Rangers were very much on the front foot. But he became more and more isolated up front and is still awaiting his first QPR goal.

Paul Konchesky: 5
Like Henry, he was unlucky to have a penalty awarded against him but was never convincing.

Matt Phillips: 6
Sent a shot over the bar and did give Rangers some added impetus after coming on, but they could not find an equaliser.

Sebastian Polter: 6
Gave the R’s a physical presence up front when he was introduced in the second half. Was perhaps unfortunate not to start.
