Middlesbrough v QPR player ratings
QPR were beaten by Grant Leadbitter’s injury-time penalty at the Riverside Stadium. Here’s how we rated the Rangers players in their 1-0 defeat.
Rob Green: 6
The keeper was well protected by Rangers’ defence, which managed to frustrate Middlesbrough before the late goal.
James Perch: 6
Willing to get stuck in and produced a fine challenge early on to stop Diego Fabbrini in his tracks. But he was also sloppy at times.
Nedum Onuoha: 8
An excellent display at the heart of the defence, the highlight of which was a terrific first-half challenge to deny David Nugent. Strong and reliable throughout.
Grant Hall: 8
His positioning could have been better on occasions, but overall Hall had another excellent game and continues to impress. And he went close to scoring with a second-half header.
Paul Konchesky: 5
An uninspiring performance from the veteran left-back. He was no match for Albert Adomah in the first half and generally offered little.
Karl Henry: 7
Not the greatest with the ball at his feet, but this was a typical hardworking Henry display.
Alejandro Faurlin: 7
Speaking of hardworking, Faurlin worked himself into the ground in midfield. He also set up a couple of chances, had an attempt on goal himself and caused problems for Boro with his set-piece delivery.
Sandro: 7
Another who played well in midfield, enabling Rangers to frustrate their opponents and the home fans.
Yun Suk-Young: 7
Full of energy on the left and set up a great chance for Matt Phillips at the start of the second half.
Leroy Fer: 7
Was also involved in creating that chance for Phillips. Had a good game but faded in the second half before conceding the all-important penalty and getting sent off.
Matt Phillips: 7
Should have scored, but gave his all up front and worried Boro with his pace and direct running.
