Man Utd rivalling Chelsea for the signing of Brazilian prospect – report
Manchester United are rivalling Chelsea for the signing of Brazilian teenager Mosquito, the Daily Mirror say.
It is claimed that Chelsea are looking to sign him from Atletico Paranaense after he turns 18 next month and would then likely send him on loan to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem for next season.
Real Madrid and Juventus are believed to have watched the forward in this year’s Fifa Under-17 World Cup.
Mosquito’s representatives are reported to be holding out for a £4m deal which Chelsea are said to be willing to match.
Meanwhile, the Daily Express say Barcelona are showing renewed interest in David Luiz.
Barca are said to be preparing a £30m bid for the Chelsea defender, while Kevin de Bruyne is also tipped to leave Stamford Bridge amid reports of interest from German club Wolfsburg.
The Express also carry a picture of Blues skipper John Terry apparently shopping at discount store Poundland in Woking.
He posed with a young fan who is quoted as saying: “He had a lot of stuff in his basket but I didn’t really see what it was.”
