Man City could struggle against improved Chelsea

Manchester City’s trip to Chelsea is the stand-out fixture in a stellar set of FA Cup fifth round ties this weekend. The hosts are 11/10 favourites to reach the quarter-finals, with City 12/5 and the draw 5/2.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side were beaten by Tottenham on Sunday and were eased to 7/1 (from 7/2) fourth favourites with BetVictor for the title.

And we think they might struggle against Chelsea, who looked back to their best when thrashing Newcastle 5-1 last weekend.

The Blues beak MK Dons – again 5-1 – in the previous round of the cup and are 100/1 to beat City by that scoreline.

The 2-1 correct score appears a much more realistic proposition at 17/2, however, with the Blues also appealing at 3/1 with BetVictor to win and both teams to score.

Incidentally, holders Arsenal are the new 7/2 favourites to win the cup.

FA Cup prices from BetVictor:
Arsenal 7/2
Man Utd 9/2
Chelsea 5/1
Spurs 6/1
Man City 7/1
West Ham 10/1
Everton 14/1
