Reports: Remy rejects Newcastle transfer and QPR want striker May

Loic Remy has turned down the chance to join Newcastle on a permanent basis, The Sun on Sunday claim.

Remy is on a season-long loan from QPR, and Magpies boss Alan Pardew is hoping to keep the France forward at St James’ Park.

It is claimed Newcastle and Rangers agreed £10m fee but that Remy is keeping his options open, believing he could attract interest from other clubs if he impresses at this summer’s World Cup.

In Scotland, the Sunday Mail reckon QPR manager Harry Redknapp is weighing up £700,000 bid for St Johnstone striker Stevie May.

The Saints apparently want £1m after recently rejecting a £500,000 bid from League One club Peterborough.

It comes after a QPR scout attended a match between St Johnstone and Partick Thistle.

  • This story is a Lie.....
Remy is subject of a Rape trial, and no club will make a move for him until this is cleared up, likely to be in the summer.
So Dirty Harry can have his £80k per week boy back whenever he wants.....
