More Mata speculation and Chelsea are again linked with Cavani
The Daily Express suggest Chelsea, along with Manchester City and others, could make a move for Edinson Cavani after Arsenal were reported to have expressed an interest.
French media have claimed that the striker is unhappy at Paris St-Germain so the Gunners are keen to sign him in January.
The Express say it now remains to be seen whether Chelsea and City will make an approach when the transfer window opens, as Cavani was linked with both clubs in the summer. Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to want him.
It continues to be open season on speculation about Juan Mata in light of his continued absence from the Chelsea side.
Bookmakers have significantly cut their odds on Mata leaving Stamford Bridge before the next transfer window closes, with PSG heavily tipped to sign him.
Meanwhile, Chelsea continue to be widely reported to be in ‘secret’ talks to sign Jackson Martinez after Portuguese media yesterday claimed that the Porto striker was on his way to west London.
Italian media have reported that Chelsea are interested in Inter Milan centre-back Andrea Ranocchia.
AC Milan and Juventus are also said to want the Italy international, 25, who is under contract until 2015.
The Express claim Tottenham and Manchester United are targeting him as well.
And Talksport suggest Fulham want Sporting Lisbon winger Zakaria Labyad but that the player is set to sign for PSV Eindhoven.
QPR have been linked with Bradford City’s Bermuda international striker Nahki Wells.
Following rumours on Twitter that Rangers were looking to sign the 23-year-old, Bermuda’s Royal Gazette say Bradford are willing to sell Wells for £3m.
