Mark Hughes is 6/4 at BetVictor to be the first Premier League manager to lose/leave his post after a flood of money for the QPR boss following the 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Monday night.
Earlier in the day we saw a four-figure bet on the Hoops at 4/1 to finish in the top half of the table and many punters and pundits felt the Welshman would take the R’s onto the next level this term after their summer spending spree. Note Rangers are now out to 11/2 for a top 10 finish.
They travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday knowing a win will calm the nerves ahead of the international break and they are 3/1 to break their duck with the Baggies 20/23 and the draw 14/5.
Bobby Zamora is 6/5 to be the club’s leading Premier League goalscorer this term and with a three-goal advantage over Djibril Cisse that looks a fair price.
On-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is 5/1 to grab the opener with Shane Long 11/2 and Zamora 8s.
Chelsea may have been flattered by the margin of their victory over FC Nordsjaelland on Tuesday but they have made a terrific start to the season and were good value for the win at the Emirates last weekend.
They are 3/1 to regain the league title and now 12/1 from 16s to retain their Champions League crown.
Norwich are the visitors on Saturday and have won just one of their last 11 league games – and have lost their last five against the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
It looks a home banker but the Canaries were very good at White Hart Lane earlier in the season when a draw was the least they deserved.
Chelsea are 1/4 favourites (8/15 to lead half-time/full-time) to take all three points with the draw 11/2 and Norwich 14/1.
Fernando Torres is 17/5 to score the opener with Eden Hazard 6s and the Blues can’t afford any slip ups with Spurs next up at the Lane after the international break.
We have updated our betting at BetVictor on where Chelsea will finish in the Pemier League and bet:
Second or better: 11/10
Third or worse: 4/6
Fulham are at Southampton on Sunday for the early televised game and it promises to be a cracker.
The Saints were no match for Everton last time but they do have goals in their side and two goals or more at 4/5 makes plenty of appeal.
Fulham are marginal favourites at 17/10, despite the fact that they have yet to win in four games at St Mary’s, with the hosts 7/4 and the draw 12/5.
Note Fulham have now have drawn only one of their last 21 in the league and neither side has drawn a game so far this season.
We have betting on the Sky man of the match award and my two against the field would be Saints’ Gaston Ramirez at 14 and Damien Duff, who has been excellent so far this season, at the same price.
Dimitar Berbatov remains even-money favourite to be Fulham’s top league goalscorer this term in what is becoming a fascinating market with Mladen Petric 13/8, Hugo Rodallega 6/1, Duff 14s and Steve Sidwell 25/1. Who do you fancy?
