QPR fans on Twitter have given a warm welcome to the news that Alejandro Faurlin has signed a new one-year deal at Loftus Road.
The Argentine midfielder, 27, returned to action towards the end of last term after battling his way back from a third long-term knee injury in as many years.
Faurlin is a popular figure among Rangers supporters – as shown by the reaction on social media to his contract extension.
That latter sentiment was repeated in many tweets, including this one:
Others speculated on who might get the best out of Faurlin, with new signing Massimo Luongo and the returning Jamie Mackie mentioned.

Ale Faurlin is a class player, I'm so pleased the Club has agreed to offer a contract, of course with his knee problem it couldn't be for more than a year, but let's hope he stays fit so allowing a future longer contract. Welcome on board Ale, you must have been through hell over the past years and months, we all look forward to seeing back in action.
