Harry would love to beat Spurs, but Bale could destroy QPR
Rangers entertain Spurs in the Saturday lunchtime kick-off and, as Kevin Keegan might say, Harry Redknapp would love it if he put one over his former employers.
But we fancy Spurs, who are 17/20, with the Hoops 17/5 and the draw at 14/5.
Gareth Bale is 6/1 to be named Sky’s man of the match and Adel Taarabt 8s and the pair have been in excellent form of late. I worry that the R’s don’t have the pace to cope with the Welsh wizard.
Demba Ba again looked sharp when he came on against Swansea in the Capital One Cup.
Many believe the time is right for him to replace Fernando Torres as first-choice Chelsea striker – starting against Stoke on Saturday.
But does boss Rafa Benitez agree?
BetVictor have a market on which striker (or both) will start for Chelsea against City and bet:
Demba Ba: 4/9
Fernando Torres: 5/2
Both: 8/1
Neither: 25/1
We are also betting on the number of Chelsea goals scored in the Premier League by Demba Ba between now and the end of the season and bet:
Under 6 goals: 5/2
6 or 7: 9/4
Over 7: Evens
Chelsea are out to 9/4 for the Capital One Cup after their loss to Swansea, who are 11/10 to lift the trophy at Wembley next month.
A Swansea v Bradford final is now only 5/4 with Chelsea v Villa now 11/2 – funny old game.
Chelsea are 20/21 to pick up all three points at the Britannia and they can’t afford another slip-up after successive home defeats. The hosts are 16/5 and the draw is 5/2.
Fulham are even-money to beat Wigan at Craven Cottage with the Latics 29/10 and the draw 13/5.
Hugo Rodallega has only scored twice in the league this season but one of those was in the reverse fixture at the DW Stadium and he is 6s to open the scoring and 2s to net at any time against his former club.
Dimitar Berbatov has an excellent record against Wigan (eight goals in 11 appearances) and is 7/5 to score at the weekend and 5s to net the opening goal.
