Harry Redknapp hopes the offer of an 18-month deal will convince West Ham striker Carlton Cole to join QPR, the Daily Mirror reports.
Cole’s short-term contract at Upton Park expires this month and the east London club are tipped to offer him an extension until the end of the season.
Meanwhile, West Ham are looking to beat QPR to the loan signing of Inter Milan’s Ishak Belfodil according to the Daily Mail, which also says Crystal Palace are keen on Everton striker Nikica Jelavic.
It is claimed that attempts by Rangers and the Hammers to sign Jelavic have stalled.
Algeria forward Belfodi, 21, has been touted for a move to England by his representatives and has also been linked with Palace and Fulham.
Finally, with QPR boss Redknapp the bookmakers’ favourite to be the next West Ham manager, the Daily Star says he is in line to return to his former club and replace the under-pressure Sam Allardyce.
