More Austin speculation and Times reports Blues have bid for Bettinelli
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea, QPR and Fulham…
Speculation over the future of QPR striker Charlie Austin continues.
Austin will turn down Newcastle and Aston Villa in the hope of signing for Chelsea or Tottenham, the Daily Express claims.
Rangers boss Chris Ramsey told TalkSport earlier this week that Austin was “aiming to go to a team that’s in the top half”.
And the Express reckons this as a sign he wants to join the Blues or Spurs if either match QPR’s £15m valuation.
Chelsea have made a £2.5m bid for Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli, The Times reports.
The Blues were tipped to sign the England Under-21 international as a replacement for Petr Cech, but opted for Stoke’s Asmir Begovic instead.
However, The Times believes an offer is on the table for Bettinelli, who impressed during his first full season for Fulham.
The Daily Star, quoting reports in Spanish sports newspaper Marca, suggests Manchester United will beat Chelsea to the signing of Barcelona winger Pedro.
The Express claims two other players supposedly wanted by Chelsea are also the subjects of bids from other clubs.
Picking up on reports in France, it suggests Tottenham have made an £18m bid for Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko, but believes the Blues, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested.
The Express also adds to the speculation surrounding Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli, who it has previously linked to Chelsea and Arsenal, by claiming Napoli are prepared to offer £25m for the 20-year-old.
The French media are also suggesting Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda is on the verge of completing a loan move to Marseille.
And the the Daily Mail believes there is a breakthrough in the long-running Mohamed Salah saga, the Egyptian winger apparently set to join Roma on a year-long loan.
