The Sun say John Terry is on the verge of signing for Aston Villa.
Villa’s city rivals Birmingham are keen to sign the 36-year-old, who is leaving Chelsea after 22 years at Stamford Bridge.
A number of other clubs have been linked with Terry, including West Brom and Bournemouth.
He was previously tipped to move to China and a number of clubs in the United States were also tipped to move for him.
However, the former England captain has reportedly been offered £60,000 a week to step down to the Championship by Villa, and The Sun say deal appears to have been agreed.
A source is quoted as saying: “He has not signed the deal yet, but it looks like it has all been agreed.
“It’s a new challenge for John. He has had plenty of offers from around the world.”
