Fulham v Swansea player ratings

Fulham’s latest loss means they are only four points above the relegation zone and have won just one of their last 12 matches. Here’s how we rated the players in their 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea.

David Stockdale: 5
A day to forget for a promising young keeper. Could have done better for Swansea’s first goal and his howler led to the second. Aside from the obvious mistakes he was generally shaky throughout.

Sascha Riether: 7
Steady game again at right-back and got forward well. Produced a great challenge on Danny Graham to rescue Fulham as City dominated.

Brede Hangeland: 5
Has turned in the odd iffy performance this season and this was one of them. Looked uncomfortable throughout.

Aaron Hughes: 5
Was also far from convincing, but did better in the second half.

Matthew Briggs: 6
Given an outing at left-back and showed his promise with a couple of solid tackles and a willingness to get forward.

Ashkan Dejagah: 7
Quick and hard-working. Had some bright moments before going off.

Steve Sidwell: 6
Improved in the second half after being dominated in the first.

Giorgos Karagounis: 7
Showed plenty of energy and guile, particularly during an excellent spell in the second half.

Kerim Frei: 7
Caused Swansea problems, although he did miss a good chance in the first half.

Dimitar Berbatov: 6
Unusually ineffective prior to a lively spell late in the game.

Bryan Ruiz: 8
Fulham’s stand-out performer. Twice went close before scoring and showed his class throughout. Great touch and range of passing. A welcome return from injury and will be a key player as the Whites look to turn their season around.
