Fulham v QPR player ratings

Fulham demolished QPR 4-0 in a one-sided west London derby. Here’s how we rated the players in the game at Craven Cottage.

Fulham

Andy Lonergan: 6
Hardly called into action as his side totally dominated.

Ryan Fredericks: 8
Did his job defensively and caused QPR problems when he went forward, not least when his run led to the fourth goal.

Richard Stearman: 7
Contained Charlie Austin well, although the Rangers striker was given no service whatsoever. Strong in the challenge and reliable on the ball, Stearman has looked the part for Fulham so far.

Tim Ream: 7
The American, who turned down Rangers to join the Whites, showed them what they are missing with another composed display at centre-back.

James Husband: 8
Set up the opening goal for Moussa Dembele and was excellent throughout, both defensively – Matt Phillips barely troubled him – and going forward. A real asset for Fulham on the left.

Tom Cairney: 8
Another who had an excellent game, albeit an understated one compared to some of Fulham’s stand-out performers. Cairney was neat and tidy, set up Ross McCormack for the third goal, and played an important role in pushing in from the flank to ensure Fulham had the upper hand in midfield.

Jamie O’Hara: 8
Whether O’Hara or QPR fans favourite Alejandro Faurlin ran the midfield was always going to be all-important – and the Fulham man won that battle hands-down, keeping things ticking over with his clever passing and never letting Rangers settle in the middle of the park.

Ryan Tunnicliffe: 7
Also had a good game in midfield and caused Rangers problems when he ventured forward.

Ben Pringle: 8
Scored with a cracking strike and combined well with Husband to give James Perch the runaround, especially in the first half.

Ross McCormack: 8
Took his first goal brilliantly and deserved his second for another performance full of quality and hard work. Another fine display.

Moussa Demebe: 8
Fulham never looked back after his opening goal and the young striker was a constant menace to QPR’s defence with his pace and trickery.

Lasse Vigen Christensen: 7
Slotted in well after replacing O’Hara midway through the second half, ensuring Fulham kept controlling the midfield.

QPR

Rob Green: 5
Left exposed for all four goals. Needed to be much more assertive in the opening stages, though, when his defence seemed uncertain and much of the damage was done.

James Perch: 5
Dear oh dear. Perch has produced some iffy displays since his summer move to Rangers and none more so than this one. Time after time he was sloppy in possession and he was beaten almost at will by Pringle.

Nedum Onuoha: 5
One of Onuoha’s poorest performances for QPR, underlined by the ease with which McCormack drifted away from him in the build-up to Fulham’s third goal. The captain was unconvincing throughout.

Gabriele Angella: 5
Never got to grips with Fulham’s attack or looked comfortable on the ball. It was a match the Italian will want to forget.

Paul Konchesky: 6
Playing against his former club, Konchesky was at least seen to be making a genuine effort. He competed well and didn’t shirk a single challenge.

Karl Henry: 5
Needed to sit much deeper in the opening 20 minutes but offered very little protection in front of the back four as his team were being overrun. His recent performances have been poor.

Alejandro Faurlin: 5
Gave the ball away in the build-up to the second goal, which was a shame from Rangers’ perspective as he had used the ball well up to that point. Aside from that error, however, he consistently failed to deal with runners in behind him as Fulham got in on QPR’s defence with embarrassing ease.

Tjaronn Chery: 5
His lack of awareness off the ball was a gift for Fulham and prompted Chris Ramsey to take him off after 35 minutes. By then the game was lost.

Matt Phillips: 5
Made no impact whatsoever.

Massimo Luongo: 5
Missed Rangers’ best chance when he fired wide of the near post after a nice passing move. He tried hard to make thing happen but Fulham were too strong and effective for him.

Charlie Austin: 5
Couldn’t get into the game before going off in the second half with a hamstring injury.

Leroy Fer: 6
Showed some nice touches after coming on for the second half – his first outing of the season following a recent knee injury.

Daniel Tozser: 6
Did reasonably well after coming on.
