Transfer gossip: Chelsea linked with Lyon forward

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea..

Players continue to be linked with potential January moves to Chelsea, with Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette the latest man reported to have been lined up by Jose Mourinho.

The Daily Express suggest Chelsea boss Mourinho wants to take Lacazette to Stamford Bridge and that Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested in the 24-year-old.

Mourinho wants Paris St-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi to replace John Mikel Obi, the Daily Star say.

The Star’s story comes after the transfer-gossip website TMW suggested that Mourinho is interested in signing 28-year-old midfielder Matuidi when the transfer window reopens.

Mourinho is said to be keen to make signings in January

It is also suggested that PSG would not be keen to sell but that the player could be tempted by a big-money offer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea plan to table a bid for Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou, French newspaper L’Equipe reported on Tuesday.

It is claimed that the Blues will look to sign the Cameroon international, 25, in a cut-price deal in January. His Marseille contract expires next summer.

Marseille, it is claimed, will demand a fee of around £7.2m and would rather sell to an English club than one of their Ligue 1 rivals.
