Transfer gossip: Injured Zouma linked with Arsenal
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Chelsea…
Kurt Zouma is wanted by Arsenal, it has been claimed.
The Daily Star have picked up on an Italian journalist suggesting that the Chelsea defender, sidelined with a long-term knee injury, is a target for Arsene Wenger.
Gunners boss Wenger has supposedly contacted incoming Blues boss Antonio Conte about a potential deal.
The Star also reports that the same journalist has claimed that Eden Hazard wants to leave Chelsea and has spoken to former Blues boss Jose Mourinho, who has taken over at Manchester United.
Meanwhile, the Mirror note that reports in Spain have claimed that Chelsea are interested in Leicester’s 19-year-old winger Demarai Gray.
‘Clique’
The Daily Telegraph say Chelsea star Willian is looking for a huge pay rise.
The Brazilian, who was outstanding last season, has recently been linked with a possible move to Manchester United.
The Telegraph say he is frustrated that has yet to be given a new contract and wants a vastly improved deal as a reward for his performances.
The newspaper also reports that Conte has no plans to sell Willian but is likely to offload Oscar in an attempt to break up a ‘Brazilian clique’ in the dressing room.
The Independent reports that Chelsea will block any attempt by Mourinho to sign Willian for United.
And Chelsea have once again been tipped to secure the re-signing of Romelu Lukaku, this time by the Mirror.
The Belgian striker, sold to Everton in 2014, apparently favours a return to Stamford Bridge over a potential move to United.
