Transfer gossip: West Brom reportedly planning improved offer for Phillips
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR…
West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is ready to offer QPR £7.5m for Matt Phillips, or Callum McManaman as part of an exchange deal, according to The Sun.
West London Sport revealed in the summer that Rangers had rejected a bid for Phillips from Albion, and this month revealed that they are still keen on the winger, that McManaman is of interest to QPR, and that a £6m bid from Middlesbrough for Phillips had been rejected.
The Sun say Pulis is so keen to sign his long-term target that he could include McManaman as part of the deal.
Rangers demanded £10m for Phillips in the summer but would accept significantly less than that now.
They recently enquired about former Wigan wide-man McManaman, 24, and believed a deal was unlikely.
