Albion tipped to try again for Phillips, Spurs and Villa linked with Moses

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR and Chelsea…

West Bromwich Albion remain hopeful of a deal to sign Matt Phillips from QPR, according to Midlands newspaper the Express & Star.

West London Sport revealed last month that Rangers had rejected bid from the Baggies for winger Phillips, 24, and want £10m for him.

The Express & Star say Albion are unwilling to pay that but believe compromise can be reached between the two clubs before the transfer window closes.

Tottenham and Aston Villa want to sign Victor Moses, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Chelsea will reportedly listen to offers for Moses and Juan Cuadrado, who has been linked with a move to Juventus.

The Telegraph believe Juve are primarily interested in a loan deal for Cuadrado and that Chelsea will reject any offers for Willian, who has been linked with a move following Pedro’s arrival at Stamford Bridge from Barcelona.

Meanwhile, The Sun claim that Everton defender John Stones is close to handing in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move to Chelsea.

The Blues are set to spend a total of £100m to sign Stones and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to the Daily Star – and £120m according to the Daily Express.
