Spurs again linked with Dembele and Mirror say Blues are ‘on alert’ over Marquinhos
A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…
Tottenham are still interested in Fulham’s Moussa Dembele, the Evening Standard reckon.
Spurs discussed a deal to sign the Whites forward, whose contract expires this summer, during the January transfer window.
The Standard say Tottenham are still thought to be keen on Dembele and that he is also wanted by Monaco, Wolfsburg and Benfica.
Meanwhile, comments by Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos have put Chelsea ‘on alert’, the Daily Mirror say.
The Brazil international, 21, was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer and is one of a host of players to have been linked with the Blues ahead of the next window.
He is being kept out of the PSG side by Thiago Silva and former Chelsea man David Luiz, and the Mirror suggest he could yet end up at the Bridge.
It comes after Marquinhos was quoted as saying: “My future is in Paris? At the moment, yes. But I can only speak of the present. Everyone knows you have to have a reflection at the end of the season.
“We’ll talk about the objectives of the club and of me personally. Right now I try to remain professional.
“I try to work to win my place and to have playing time. We’ll see how the season will finish. Afterwards, there will be a reflection.”
On Wednesday, comments by Napoli midfielder Allan’s agent led to TalkSport and Metro similarly declaring that Chelsea had been put ‘on alert’.
