Gossip: Spurs battling European clubs for Dembele, report claims

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving Fulham, QPR and Chelsea…

Tottenham apparently remain interested in Fulham striker Moussa Dembele but are said to face competition from clubs in Germany and France.

Sky Sports News claim Dembele’s representative is in talks with Wolfsburg and Monaco over a pre-contract agreement which would see the 19-year-old move on in the summer.

Spurs, though, are also believed to be keeping an eye on the Frenchman, who has also been offered a new deal at Craven Cottage.

The Derbyshire Telegraph reckon Burton Albion’s Nasser El Khayati is a potential replacement for Charlie Austin at QPR.

It is claimed that El Khayati, a key player for Burton during Rangers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s time in charge of the Brewers, is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

Birmingham City are also said to be interested in the 26-year-old, who has scored eight goals this season.

The Daily Telegraph picks up on rumours from the European media linking Chelsea with Borussia Dortmund’s Ilkay Gundogan, Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour and Dinamo Zagreb keeper Adrian Semper.

Reports in Spain suggest Dortmund may use midfielder Gundogan as part of a swap deal for Ramires, while the French press claim the Blues retain an interest in Abdennour, who left Monaco for Valencia in the summer.

The Telegraph also quotes Dinamo manager Zoran Mamic as saying the Blues had representatives in Zagreb to table an offer for Semper.

And once again, Blues striker Diego Costa is being tipped for a return to Atletico Madrid by the Spanish press.

The Independent believes Atletico may need to do deal this month to preempt the transfer ban placed on them by Fifa.
