Transfer gossip: Speculation over Dembele’s future continues

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving the area’s Championship clubs…

Tottenham face competition from Italian clubs Juventus and Roma for the signing of Moussa Dembele, the Mail on Sunday say.

It follows reports that Spurs have opened discussions with Fulham over a potential deal to sign the 19-year-old forward, who has been linked with a host of clubs.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to be keen to add Dembele to his squad during this month’s transfer window.

Whites boss Slavisa Jokanovic has told Sky Sports he believes Dembele and Ross McCormack will both be staying at Craven Cottage.

QPR are looking to sign West Bromwich Albion winger Callum McManaman, according to the Sunday Telegraph.

Bournemouth and Middlesbrough are also said to be interested in the 24-year-old winger.

All three clubs have apparently been told that any permanent deal for McManaman would cost £7m.

Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror pick up on the interest being shown in Matt Phillips by Watford, West Brom and Bournemouth, calling it  ‘the £8m Premier League scramble’ to sign the QPR winger.
